These portraits are done in a combination of colored pencil, pastel & a little ink. The image is usually approximately 10 1/2" from the waterline or bottom of the keel to the tip of the mast for the sailboats, or bow to stern for the motor yachts. This allows for a standard 16" x 20" frame with standard mat. Other image sizes can certainly be produced. The tugboat "Luna", for example, is actually approximately 14" from stem to stern. Custom portraits generally start at $400.00 for smaller size portraits - roughly 8" image size (see "catboat" below) .
